    And Steve Arkin has pointed to the strong similarity between “Unnamed tune on page 16” and P.T. Bell’s “Cacklin’ Hen.” So call them what you will, violin or fiddle tunes, they are a small and rare window into some of the tunes played on the frontier in the early to late 19th Century.
