    that was just recently issued on CD (I had the vinyl years ago). Genya Ravan was a powerful singer who I believe was a native of Poland. She was one of the regulars at the famous CBGB's club in New York (which also spawned the better known Talking Heads and Blondie). This album's best songs are "Pedal To The Metal" (should have been a/5(7).

    Genya Ravan hasn’t gotten her due in the great book that is the History of Rock, and it’s past time that this particular wrong was righted. And I Mean It came out in , just as the punk/new wave thing was taking hold of the public’s imagination in America, and while the album looked kinda new wave, it was a little too eclectic to /5(7).
